New Team Ninja Boss Practically Confirms Ninja Gaiden III
Added 05/16/2009 by Se ShareThis
If you're a sucker for punishment and like to play games until your thumbs bleed, then you must certainly be a fan of Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden franchise. During a recent interview with Kikizo, new Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi confirmed that Ninja Gaiden IIIcould be in the works. Hayashi replaces former Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagki, who said that Ninja Gaiden II would be the last in the series. But Hayashi went on the record to say: "we will continue to work towards a future for the series."
Sure that's not a concrete confirmation but he follows that statement up adding, "What the gamers are looking for is going to be the next chapter - the future of an outstanding series. We feel that we're in a position of being able to make that call... That calling is already there - we feel it."
No other word has been made on Ninja Gaiden III but if what Hayashi says in his interview holds to be true, it will release on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 at the same time. A first for the franchise this gen. As more news becomes available, we'll keep you updated.
